Both teacher and parent accounts require an email address. To switch from a parent to a teacher, you must first deactivate your parent account, which can take up to 48 hours to process. After the deactivation processes, you can use the same email address to create a teacher account. If you would like to create a teacher account immediately, please use a different email. To switch from a parent to a teacher account, first, delete your parent account:
- Log into your parent account.
- Click on the profile icon in the top toolbar > click Settings .
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Deactivate your account.
- Read the warning and click Deactivate.
Note: It can take up to 48 hours for this deactivation to be processed. In that time, you won't be able to use the same email that was on your parent account to create a teacher account.
Once your parent account deactivation has processed, or when you have a different email to use temporarily, you can create your teacher account!
