Editing Posts (Teacher)

Sending Posts to your Classes/Groups are an effective way to communicate and engage with your students.  Read below for more information on editing and replying to Posts.

Reply to a Post

To reply to a Post in a Class/Group or a Community, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the desired Post
  2. Type your reply in the reply box located below the original message. You also have the option to Likethumb.pngor Share share.png the Post.  
  3. Click Comment to post you response which will appear below the original Post

Note: You can also Attach Files and Images image.png, Add from Library library.png or a GIF GIF.png to your replies. 


Edit a Post or Reply

Your students can only edit messages and comments that they posted to a Class/Group. Teachers can edit their own messages and comments as well as any posted by a student in their Class/Group by doing the following:

  1. Navigate to the message or comment that needs editing
  2. Click More ellipsis.png to the right of the message to open the drop-down menu
  3. Select Edit Post and begin making the edits needed
  4. Click Save to save your modifications


Delete a Post or a Comment on a Post

Both teachers and students have the ability to delete a Post. Teachers can delete any of their own Posts or comments sent to a Class/Group as well as any made by a student in a Class/Group. Students can only delete their own Posts or comments.

To delete a Post:

  1. Navigate to the Post that you would like to delete
  2. Click More ellipsis.png to the right of the Post to open the pop-up menu 
  3. Select Delete Post
  4. Click Delete to confirm

To delete a comment on a Post: 

  1. Locate the comment that you would like to delete 
  2. Click More ellipsis.png to the right of the comment to open the popup menu 
  3. Select Delete Comment 
  4. Click Delete to confirm

Note: When you delete an original Post, any links to that Post will become inactive. For example, if you saved a specific post to your Library and delete the original post, the link in your Library will be broken.
