EdmodoCon FAQs

Whether you have general questions about EdmodoCon, want to know how to participate, or need technical help, here’s where you can find everything you need for this year’s event!

 

When is EdmodoCon?

EdmodoCon is August 7 and 8, 2018. It’s a virtual event, so you can come and go as you please throughout each day. 

Tuesday Aug 7 will all be in English, and Wednesday Aug 8 will all be in Spanish.

 

Who will be speaking at EdmodoCon?

The event will kick off with a keynote from Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills Initiatives at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Then, selected speakers will present to our worldwide online audience. You can view this year’s speakers and schedule on EdmodoCon.com.

 

How do I register for EdmodoCon?

Attending and participating in EdmodoCon is completely free. You can reserve your spot on EdmodoCon.com.

 

How can I join the presentation-related Topics on Edmodo?

This year, the EdmodoCon sessions and conversation will take place using Topics, Edmodo's collaboration feature that creates conversations between educators all over the world.

Each EdmodoCon session will have its own Topic in which you can chat and connect with other attendees, find presentation materials, and keep the conversation going during the session, and after it ends. Follow the EdmodoCon Topic to stay in the loop on everything EdmodoCon.

Can I test my system to make sure I can stream EdmodoCon?

Yes! We recommend you test your system before the big day to ensure it meets the minimum technical requirements. Run a check as soon as you register, or log in early on the day of the event to conduct your assessment.

 

How can I get updates about EdmodoCon?

Follow the EdmodoCon Topic for more updates!

 

Will EdmodoCon be recorded?

Yes. Recordings of each presentation will be made available on EdmodoCon.com in the days following EdmodoCon.For the most current updates on all things EdmodoCon, please follow the EdmodoCon 2018 Topic.

 

Will I get a certificate after participating in EdmodoCon?

Yes. A Certificate of Attendance will be made available for download on EdmodoCon.com after the event. You’ll also be able to download it from the EdmodoCon Topic.

 

Will I get an Edmodo badge for participating?

Yes. To receive your badge, you must register for EdmodoCon using the email address associated with your Edmodo account and use that email to log in on the day of the event. The badge will appear on your Edmodo profile after EdmodoCon.
