Award a Teacher Badge (Admins)

District Administrators are able to Award Teacher Badges to any Teachers within their District Network to recognize them for skills they've mastered or other milestones accomplished. Teacher Badges can be Awarded from a District Administrator's Edmodo Library, from any Group for which they are the Owner or a Co-Teacher, or from the PD Tools section of their Administrator Account. 

Any District Administrator may Add, View, Edit, and Award a Teacher Badge on Edmodo. There are a few places from where a District Administrator may Award a Teacher Badge:

  • The Administrator Account
  • The Edmodo Library
  • A Group for which they are the Owner or a Co-Teacher

To Award a Teacher Badge from the Administrator Account:

  1. Switch to the Admin Account from your Teacher Account
  2. Click the "PD Tools"  tab in the top right of the toolbar, then select the "Teacher Badges"  tab
  3. Hover over the Badge you would like to award and click on the "More Options" icon  that appears to the right
  4. Select "Award
  5. In the window that appears, find the "Send to..."  field and type in the name of the Teacher or Teachers to whom you would like to Award the Badge. and select their names from the drop down menu
  6. Once you have selected all of the Teacher Badge recipients, hit the blue "Award" button 

 

To Award a Teacher Badge from the Edmodo Library:

  1. Click on the "Library" Icon  .
  2. Under "District Resources" on the left select the option "Teacher Badges"
  3. Hover over the Badge you would like to award and click on the "More Options" icon  that appears to the right.
  4. Select "Award
  5. In the window that appears, find the "Send to..."  field and type in the name of the Teacher or Teachers to whom you would like to Award the Badge. and select their names from the drop down menu
  6. Once you have selected all of the Teacher Badge recipients, hit the blue "Award" button 
  7. You will see a green "Badge Awarded" message at the top of your screen, and the Badge will now be visible in the Teacher's profile.

To Award a Teacher Badge from a Group:

  1.  Select the Group Name from the left Groups Panel.
  2. Click the “Members” tab located on the center panel
  3. On the Members page, find the Teacher you wish to Award a Teacher Badge to and select "Manage" to the right of their Name
  4. From the drop-down menu select "Award a Badge"
  5. In the window that appears, select the Teacher Badge you would like to Award
  6. Click the "Award" button 
  7. You will see a green "Badge Awarded" message at the top of your screen, and the Badge will now be visible in the Teacher's profile
